Demuth Machines started operations on June 1st, 1981 and, nowadays, the company is one of the main equipment suppliers for the wood handling to the pulp industry. Demuth technology has been used at important countries such as: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Portugal, Spain, South Africa, Switzerland, Thailand, United States, Uruguay and Venezuela.
Demuth is currently developing and attending many projects, as the Company stands a traditional position in the pulp segment. In 1922 Stefan Laxhuber founded a small workshop, which he, together with his wife Juliane Laxhuber, turned into a company for wind-powered well production, and later expanded to trading agricultural machinery. After 50 successful years, the founder passed the company on to his son, Stefan Laxhuber. With the support of his wife, Theresia Laxhuber, he devoted many years to his life’s work, He also opened new lines of business, from which the core product developed: drying technology. Thanks to his foresight and commitment, and with the support of a creative and dedicated workforce, the company was able to expand continually and is now one of the leading drying system manufacturers in the world.

In the beginning, General Dies has started working in the animal feed industry. Although founded for the production of spare parts for pellet mills in 1960, some years later we began designing and producing pellet mills and complete plants. In the following decades the industries of application have been amplified in various directions: sugar plants; compost; straw; hay; alfalfa; wood and biomass; plastic etc. In a wider market, which sees new realities, we always united to our long experience the newest and best technologies.
